ELP Co-ordinator
The Coordinator for the Devon, Plymouth and Torbay ELP is Dave Salter. He is based at West Exe Technology College in Exeter, where he is responsible for overseeing Applied Learning Activities, such as Practical Learning courses, and, of course, Enterprise. He is currently on a part time secondment to the Exeter 4 Learning Partnership, overseeing the implementation of five new Diplomas across the city. Prior to the secondment, Dave was the National Enterprise Specialist Hub Coordinator for Applied Learning Schools across the S'EEN network, working closely with the other NESH leaders and within the Devon and Plymouth area. Dave believes that the new 5 - 19 agenda for enterprise is very exciting, and pre empted the change in age focus, along with other colleagues from Devon and Plymouth by launching cross phase enterprise projects in July 2008 within the region. These have become a cornerstone for innovative enterprising practice at West Exe Technology College. He hopes that the Enterprise agenda will be successfully broadened across the ELP area.
