Recognising skills development

Supporting students to recognise skills development.

Through working with schools we have recognised that students find it difficult to evaluate and articulate the range of skills they have developed both in and outside school.  We have developed a simple to use online platform to solve the problem.  The system has been in the pilot phase and will have its national launch at our conference in November.

Achievement Builder offers a framework to support students in recognising the development of skills needed in all walks of life. Schools can opt to have their own skills framework, based on the values they have as a school, or go for the national framework we have designed in conjunction with schools and employers.

Achievement Builder can be used with all age ranges and could be used by the whole school or selected groups of students. Students select tasks, evaluating their progress in skills development , with their tutor working alongside them. Tutor’s can add new tasks relevant to the individual student, ensuring all students can achieve recognition for the activities they take part in.
